Posts: 810 | They're made by Llugen Tackle and are a good jerkbait. As far as durability, they're made from solid plastic. They'll definitely take a lot of abuse. I'd take a look at the "Squirko" though, made by the same manufactor. Here's a link: http://www.muskyshop.com/modules/cart/products.php/keys/squirko/pag...

Posts: 2024 | Never used the Jerko, but have used its brother the Squirko and like Whooligan said it ranks as one of my favorite gliders. Last season it was my go-to bait under tough conditions. They will take TONS of abuse and have a good erratic action. I'd say it would be a good purchase.

Posts: 3480 Location: Elk River, Minnesota | Hi, In a day or so, I will be putting up a couple for sale...I just have not had any luck with them on the lakes I primarily fish. I cannot post prices here since it would get tanked, but they will be there soon. Steve

Posts: 3518 Location: north central wisconsin | Jerkos are as durable as any Musky lure made and will hold up to multiple big fish and numerous hook hanger bendings. While they are weighted the same, and made from a mold, some do work a bit differently than others in my collection, though the individuals never vary, as wooden lures do after hours or days of use. The good ones will walk the dog like any gigar type glider like an undertaker, but also have alot of smilarities to my favorite Reef Hawgs, in that I can pull them hard and get the dive/dart. I've got a custom colored Squirko that slashes up and down with an extreme glide that when I use the same retrieve style on another Squirko the action is just not the same; it's simply a more toned down version of the other. They do take a little extra work to get the desired action (though I suppose that depends on the person), but it doesn't take long to get used to it. My .02 cents (again).

Posts: 120 | Hi The Jerko will hold up to Big fish. The hook hangers are molded into the solid plastic body and cannot be pulled srtaight out. This lure will basicly last a lifetime. If you get one let me know how you like it Thanks for all the nice comments. Keith [email protected] Attachments ---------------- pike.jpg (143KB - 203 downloads)

Posts: 2427 Location: Ft. Wayne Indiana | Jerkos and Squirkos have been one of my "Go To" gliders. These are great lures with amazing action. Just remember this when working it...SLACK LINE! The action you get from these lures is all done with the last 6-8 inches of snapping your rod tip. Get yourself some....you will really like 'em!
