Was wondering if there are any resorts or camping places around mille lacs that would let you stay for a weekend? I tried to do a search on this site and the computer wouldn't let me.

Red door. North end of the lake, if you stay there they wave the launch fee. Very nice and Very clean.

Eddys resort would be another option on the south west at Vineland Bay

When asked for a recommendation I always list the three that were already mentioned: Eddy's, Red Door, and McQuoid's. Depending on what part of the lake you plan to fish, these three pretty much cover the lake. If I needed a place to stay on the lake I'd probably pick McQuiod's due to it's close proximity to a town. That part of the lake really offers a lot of variety, too.

Father hennipin state park is very nice, so is McQuoids. Eddys does not take kindly to the muskies in the lake.

Is there any campgrounds at all on the lake or is it pretty much a resort stay? Also does McQuiod's have a website?

Thanks!

We fished walleye out of McQuoids, Aaron was a wonderful guide for me and my son. I enjoyed their lodge and hot tub! m

Father Hennepin State Park is on the lake and has a good campground

I've never stayed here but have walked around, it's pretty good.

Johnsons Portside, maybe .5 miles north of McQuoids.. Hard to miss, they have a huge Walleye and Musky statue outside..

If price is a consideration The Red Door is hard to beat. I've stayed at McQuids and it was nice but the Red Door was about $50.00/night cheaper.

I've been staying at Flagship Inn/M.S.A.(Miltary Service Association) that is on the east side on Big Point. The cabins are small (2 beds and a light bulb), but are $45/night. The restrooms are relatively clean, and the bar/restaurant comes in handy. You can launch there if you have a smaller boat or drive about a mile to the newest boat ramp on the lake (next to Liberty Beach). You can spend the entire weekend fishing the weeds and rock piles that are right in that vicinity. If you decide to go ask for cabin 7,8, or 9 for parking covenience. 320-676-3693
