Posts: 185 | You believe it? Fishing for pike/bass on the French River and this was the first fist caught on the trip... I've been reading forums like a mad man ever since. Also looking in the mail everyday for Dick Pearson's Muskies on the Shield. I can't understand it, but I am counting down the days until opening season up here in Ontario. Ah well, I guess it's a good thing So much info on this site!!! Great for a newbie muskie hunter. Attachments ---------------- Severn River 019a.JPG (59KB - 98 downloads)

Posts: 90 Location: ne53 | You could make a little replica and use it as a keychain. Just kiddin' BillM, my first little guy wasn't much bigger.

Posts: 31 | Does anyone make a replica about that size? It would be nice to mount one on a plaque as awards of any type or just to remeber a special fish. Not everyone wants a full size fish or has the money for one. Put a little tag under it with date, length, and other information.

Posts: 185 | Haha!!! Thanks for the kind words guys... I caught this little guy on a Zara Spook Jr. Missed it the first time, but came around a second time and made quite a swirl for a small fish. I can't imagine what a 40" fish would do *gulp* I also picked up a pretty nice pike on the trip... Attachments ---------------- Severn River 023.jpg (177KB - 103 downloads)

That's probably the best first muskie you can get. Think of the guy who went out and landed a 50 for his first fish. Now that would just suck, because there is no where to go but down from there. You, on the other hand, can only improve in the future. At least let's hope so, lol. Okay, I really don't believe that, because a fifty for a first fish would be sweeeeeeeeet. It's kind of like when I think about that hot girlfriend I had in high school, back in the day. It may not have lasted forever, but it's nice to have the memories..... to bad I didn't get any pictures of it though......
