Posts: 79 Location: South Dakota | I am confused about these weagle's. Is there an original weagle and then some "imitaions"? Or is there different styles of the weagle or different individuals making there own version of a topwater bait? How do you identify which one is what? tia Rob Edited by sodaksker 2/20/2008 1:53 PM

Posts: 2378 | - Steve Cady originally designed and marketed the Weagle...this is what we call the "original" Weagle - Steve eventually wanted out of the business and sold his lures to Muskie Mojo Tackle (me) - Toward the end of his ownership, Steve made some changes to the Weagle to increase durability/etc...these are the supposed "new" Weagles that I am now manufacturing - Has there been imitations? Yes...Homewrecker, Satisifier, possibly more - In the past years I have added additional "styles" of the Weagle...10 inch and Wild Action Series That pretty much sums up the history of the Weagle to this point

Posts: 79 Location: South Dakota | Luke, Thanks for the education on the history of the weagle. I have seen ads for a Musky "nut" Weagle. Where does that fit into this equation? Rob

Posts: 380 Location: Michigan | Luke, What is the difference between the Fit, baby weagle, baby wabull as far as action and what do they weigh? Is there another way to tell the difference other than weight? Thanks

Posts: 2378 | The FIT is what Cady called the Baby Wabull before he transferred that one over to me. The Jailbait is what the Baby Weagle was called prior to the transfer. As for weights...not exactly sure off hand on the babies. The easiest way to tell the difference, besides weight, is the screw eye in the nose. This holds true for all sizes...Weagle has a horizontal screw eye in the nose, and the Wabull has a vertical. See the attached pics for further explanation Attachments ---------------- weagle.JPG (7KB - 61 downloads) wabull.JPG (11KB - 72 downloads)

Posts: 354 | My favorite part of "weagle confusion" is the selling of one of the last ten made or one of the "last batch" made. That must have been one heck of huge batch because I've seen this statement fifty times in the past couple of years.
