| HI All, I just ordered one of these units. It was through an awards program here at work, I figured a GPS is better than a toaster 
Does anyone have any input of feedback on these units???

sometimes it takes a while to get a signal, but that's my only complaint.

| I won one at the Petenwell musky Challenge last year, and upgraded it to the color model. All I can say is it is a huge step from my old Global map100. I was even able to get all of my data off my old unit converted from .low files to .usr's...SWEET! Now I am able to easily transfer data from my boat units in summer to my ifinder for winter use.
One gripe I have is the screen is hard to read(in the color model) without the light on. That said, even with the light on, this unit lasts longer on 2 AA batteries than my old one did with 4 and no light, so all is good there.
My main gripe, and this is a big one, is the fact that I can only zoom in to 1/8 of a mile with my navionics chip in. So, in order to precicely navigate to my icons or waypoints(when not in navigate mode which I am usually not) I need to go to map data and take myself out of the navionics map and to the base map, where I can zoom to .o4 miles. I am pretty sure one can zoom in all the way with the Lakemaster maps, however. I cannot stand looking at Lakemaster and have sold my MN chip already, but am considering getting a WI version just for my ifinder, and winter use.
Good luck with your new unit, you'll like it, even moreso if you already have other Lowrance products with the same menus. |

Location: Yahara River Chain | Need 12V power? He's what I carry to aid in getting 12V power to my H2OC.
Photo #1 - a pigtail from the unit's 12V plug to a 12V female. The other end is for a trolling motor male. What happens if you don't have a trolling motor male? See the next picture.
Photo #2 - Trolling motor female to two "O"s ends. These can be placed directly on to the battery.
Note make dang sure you get the red to positive and black to negitive on the battery.
