If it is the lateral line that is causing fish to react to the double 10 baits what is this going to do to them….put them in shock?

I am going to be willing to find out.

i was VERY surprised how easy this lure is to reel in. in the video i'm using a small, high speed Curado 300DSV and it was pretty much the same as a standard XX. we even did some bulging with it...holy cow does that thing lift a lot of water right below the surface!

Keith, it will casue them to temporarily float to the surface, where you can then go net them and take a couple pictures. By that time, the fish will have snapped out of it and can be successfully released. No need for hooks, the ultimate musky hugger bait...

Seriously, when I first saw a picture of that bait I didn't even think it would run. Looks like it does! Pretty innovative.
