have to worry about some rebates, but it's a laptop under $450 after rebate.

I work with / on PC all day in IT support here at the KC VA Hosiptal.

There are a lot of good deals out there.

The thing I would look for is the OS-- Get XP for home or XP Pro if connecting to a network.

MS Vista is a resource huge and most inportant-- It's new enough the driver software is not available for some of the I/O units.. So you may have a problem interfacing some of the "toys".

Some places want more $$ to unload MS Vista and Load MS XP..

Also look at how much sofeware is included with each PC.. The darn software can get $$$

Just something to think about..
