We are looking for the tinsel skirt material that the double cowgirls and some of the other big bucktails are using. Has anyone found a place online that sells quality skirts? Correct me if Im wrong, but we do not want to use any of the rubber type of materials?

Thanks

It's actually not "tinsel," the Cowgirl/Spanky Bait/Gerry Girls, etc are all made from "flashabou." Various manufacturers carry the material. The Cowgirls and and Gerry Girls use Hedron flashabou. Spirit River makes flashabou that is a bit wider and thicker (don't like it myself, but to each their own). You will have to buy it in packages if you plan on getting the Hedron material; he doesn't sell bulk rolls without you filing a specific tax form.

Moores carries it, Cabelas and BPS carries some (not sure if it's Hedron), pretty much any fly tying shop will carry flashabou. Ebay also has some just run a search.
