Random quote: "You only need two" Paul Marquardt when discussing trolling giant lures. This from a guy who owns over 600 baits!

Just ordered some Mag-x blades...stainless only.

How is that different than nickel?

Does simple spray paint from a can work well? I've done it, and it seems to.

Also---what are everyone's thoughts on pattern blades...firetiger, etc....seems like it shouldn't matter....the blades are SPINNING and are a blur anyhow.

Thanks,
mlure

Stainless is stamped out of Stainless steel material. Nickel blades are Nickel plated brass. We are working on getting those large blades painted.

If Dick gets his painted they will be done right for sure! For now you might want to rough up the blades a little if you paint them yourself. Gives the paint something to stick to. Otherwise you might have a chipping problem. You can also get paint that "eats" into the metal. I have never gotten thsi paint or seen it but just have heard about it from my manufacturers. I think Mepps and other mass produced bucktails and spinnerbaits use it. Sounds a little toxic to me Wonder what it does to finger nails??
