| Just hoping to get some info about what to expect at Clear Lake this time of year. With the dark water I would guess bright noisey baits...right? Shallow or Deep? Rocks? Weeds? Mud Flats? Suspended? Top Water doughtful?
I will be casting for the most part.
Any help would be appreciated. |

| Clear Lake is, how can I say, NOT CLEAR!!!! Imagine any river at flood stage and you have Clear Lake's water quality. The lake isn't deep at all. If you own a slammer crank, you can find bottom anywhere on the lake. There is zero week growth with the only vegetation being reeds in the shallows. Some rock points. You'd do best to fish the rock points until it warms up enough where they'll be shallow. Any bait is good so long as it has a rattle, blade, or surface splunker.
Good luck |

| Jo,
I have some ideas.....But you'll have to wait until Friday...ok here is one DOWNSIZE 1/2 rattle traps!!!!
One other idea....Bring liquids...
There are some "fake" weeds that have been placed in the lake as well as some concrete reefs that have been made.
No matter what we should have a great time! |
