Any one catch the program on the biggest fresh water fish. They spend atleast 20 mins talking about the musky and the jaws found on the chip. Pretty interesting!!!!

I wonder how much the guy who owned the camp up in Canada paid the HC to try to make people believe there is a 14' Lake Trout swimming around in his lake?

This whole show was a crock just like all the other Monster Quest shows but somehow I find myself watching them!

14 FOOT Lake Trout?? Did the folks on the show hold the reel upside down and reel backwards? Dead giveaway.

Dude, I'm never going swimming again. There are these fish called Pike, and Muskellunge that have baracuda like teeth and are ambush predators. One guy, was wading around in the shallows. The bluegills and baitfish scattered as he walked towards them, so he new a predator was around. Then it happened..... he got attacked by a muskellunge or a pike!!!! Those things sound daaaaangerous!

It was interesting.
They showed the biggest fresh water species in the world. Ctfish in Vietnam that choked on a kid!
Alligator gar, with a pictures from the 1900's of a 10 footer.
The guy getting attacked by a pike or muskie in MN was pretty funny, and they spent a lot of time on the jaws found on The Chip.
But I watched it. I still think that the catfish are the largest fresh water eating machines on the planet. Swallowed a young boy and choked on him and washed up on shore a few days later.

I thought it was pretty good for some comic relief. A 14 foot lake trout??? They made it sound like pike and musky taking chunks out of people is an everyday occurance. Glad my kids didn't see it. They would never go swimming in a lake again.

I'll have to watch that one. I'll be honest- I think your odds of being injured by a musky are a lot greater when you are unhooking a fish.

I would stop short of saying that it would never happen, but in over ten years of diving, and trying to get as tight a shot as possible, none of our rapidly expanding bunch has ever been chomped.

Generally, a halfhearted haymaker will make the fish back down. there are a few situations where they will be more agressive towards us. When there is more than one fish, we have had a few situations. Phil C. is the greatest muskyfighter of all time. No Fear!

I've never seen a musky that I thought was over five feet in length. I have seen a few that were closer to five than four.

The Musky is not the killing machine that some make him out to be. He is not always a loner. he will often run with a partner, long after the spawn. I have seen where they have a close relationship with a walleye. several examples. Best of friends. I was amazed.

Enjoy the water! I would avoid having a stringer tied to the dock when I swam, but other than that, your odds of getting bit while swimming are low, despite my caution at the end of this video!

Merry Christmas to all!

You'll be ok Joel, muskies will only eat what they can swallow. So calm the hell down.

The show was great when the found that jaw bone and recreated the replica of a world record.
I had one of those fish that never moved, I thought it was one of Smokies rental anchores off Rocky Point. For a brief time I thought that I was wrestling with a big fish. It turned out to be a X-mas tree cemented in a 5 gallon bucket, wrapped chicken wire and put on the turn of the point to catch lures.

Channel Surfing is great,

Bruce
