Posts: 324 Location: Bloomington, Illinois | I bought this in an ebay frenzy in an attempt to get one of Gale's baits to fish with...As I understand things now, this bait is more of a collectors item...It is a smash-n-grab creeper #4 of 100 made in 2002...I have to admit it really is too pretty to fish...The matching paint on the fins/arms is awesome...Although my wife may argue the point, I am not a collector...Guys, I hate to admit it, but I paid a couple hundred dollars for this bait...Never bid on ebay after a few beers when you have a good paypal balance Anyway, I have no idea what its collector value is...I guess it is whatever someone is willing to pay...I'd like to get back what I paid...PM me if you are interested...If not, go ahead and have a laugh on me for being so stupid to shell out a couple of C notes for a piece of wood and some metal...Just don't openly ridicule me on this thread... you can't go wrong with wakemakers as either a collectible or as a "user" - that one you have is gorgeous! i'd put that in a place of honor and show it off! steve

Posts: 1080 | That is freakin' cool.... I wouldn't be able to throw that either. Heck...can't afford it either. I'd say...if you don't HAVE to sell that right now...don't. Hang on to it. Even though you're not a collector...to have one like that hanging around a den or office as decor for a while....maybe letting it appreciate in value????? You just never know... Edited by MACK 12/19/2007 10:36 PM

Posts: 136 Location: Chicago | Muskyme: People I know, think I'm goofy collecting muskie lures but I don't mind. Once they see my collection and the craftmanship behind them, they tend to be impressed afterwards. You should have no problem getting what you paid for that bait, it's a great looking, one of a kind bait. Wish I had some spending cash, it would be a great addition to my collection. Here's a pic of my topwater baits. An orange and yellow weagle I bought off you a couple of years ago is in the display. Attachments ---------------- Picture.jpg (135KB - 186 downloads)
