a coworker brought in his dad's old tackle that he didn't want, and there are a few of these lures that look like they've been around for quite some time. A pack of leaders had $1 for them new from '86 I think. These lures sounded familiar, and with some of the lure collectors here, I was hoping to get him information on the age/value/history before he just gives them up. If he doesn't want them and they are collectors, I'd like to see them go to those who would value them. Neither my coworker or his brother are into fishing and only kept a few lures that they had sentimental value for.

Try ebay for a reference. I looked up a few that are in my late grandfathers tackle box..and luckily kept my mom from using and possibly losing a $80 lure.

Usually those don't have a whole lot of value. They have been very popular lures over the years and there are tons of them out there in circulation. Some oddball versions may have value but I think that's the exception. There are a number of books out that give values for antique lures. Check your local library or if you've got a Barne's & Noble, Border's or some other big book store they'll probably have a couple different books available.
