Just wondering if anyone on this site has or is running the Evinrude E tec . I am looking at several different motor manufacturers and trying to find the best for the money. I talk with one dealer and they hype up the motor they carry and downgrade the company they don't. Typical, but I am looking at the Etec and was wodering what you guys thought of it. Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Roger

I have a 2007 115 E-Tec with over 300 hrs on it and not a problem. Lots of power! It gets my Ranger 620T on plane quick. I had a 115 four stroke before and really enjoyed that motor too. If I had to buy another motor it would be an E-tec.

I have been Mercury all my life, until this year. We now have a 621 with a 225 E-tec. Couldn't be more impressed with the unit. Tons of power, performance and it's very quiet. Weight is approx. 100lbs less compaired to Verado. We'd do it again in a heartbeat, very satisfied. Check out the Evinrude site, and good luck.
