The question is there's 70 people on-line and 25 are guests? What's up with that? Is it members going stelth or people not willing to join the group?

Quite a majority at any given time are folks just reading and looking over what's new. You'd be amazed at the number of folks who are not registered, which is IMHO really cool.

I too kinda like the idea of others looking in. One can really see the benefit of us collectively being on our best behavior. I know a few registered members that lurked and evaluated long before making their first post. Few made as grand an entrance as MuskyHopeful, but the number of folks joining the registered list continues to grow...that means the list of people that I can learn from and my list of potential friends and fishing partners continues to grow as well!
