Tonight I had one of the best musky experiences of my life.

While trolling Green Bay, it was my turn and I grabbed the rod, it was a good one, we were going into the wind and current so I had to keep the boat in gear and started to make a 180 so we could drift, before we could get any line in and out of the way the down rod goes off, it was Ian's first day musky fishing, I told him to leave the second rod and fish in the holder until we got the board off the first, which we did, then he grabbed the rod, I struggled immensely but netted my own fish, (don't know how so many people musky fish alone), talk a about a Chinese fire drill, then his was at the boat and in the net too. I sure am glad I have an endless list of people to fish with.

My friend JJ was casting not to far away, so I called him to come over to take some of the best musky pictures in my collection to date. They are not the biggest fish, not even the biggest of the day, Ian's cherry was broke on a 46.5" in the morning.

They both measured exactly 41.5" on a bump board!!!

That's 83" of musky in the Frabill at once.

What a great way to end the day!

The rush was as good as a 50", maybe even better!

Only people who haven't truly experienced trolling talk down about it.

That was quite a weekend Joe, 3 cherries in one weekend, and a double to wrap it up. Awesome! Couldnt happen to a better guy. You have defiantly paid your dues out there and I am glad to seeing paying in spades.

And best of all the boat stayed above water this weekend!

Getting my boat back on the water was a bunch of work, but I knew there were fish to be caught. I still have a big list of things to fix and/or replace. I am still even working the last water from the gas tanks. It sure is worth it. What a weekend! 2 more left too. December sucks in Wisconsin. After I sunk her my wife told me she and many people she spoke to thought I should put it away for the year...yeah right. If I wasn't out with my dad that day, I would have tried to get back out that same day.

I know......I have it real bad.

Awesome pic and awesome story. In all my years of fishing, I've had doubles, triples and even a quadruple on the line while fishing for other species...but...I've yet to have at least a double on while musky fishing.

Congrats! One of the coolest pictures I've seen yet!

And Joe, I agree with you... Only those who haven't experienced catching a fish trolling talk down about it. It's just as much of a rush as casting, for sure!

I don't know who you're kidding but it is obvious that that is the same fish being held by two different guys. This isn't the first time someone has tried to pull that trick on here, but it's about time that it was stopped. And seriously, fishing with a full length mirror in the boat, how desperate do you have to be?

On a more serious note: Congrats on the twin beauties, I haven't experienced a double up for about 10 years, and they were both sub-30" fish. Unless you count that time a few years later in college, that was a lot of fun too, but unfortunately they weren't twins.
