I am in the process of restoring a 1988 Ranger 680C, and I was wondering if anyone knows if they made a removable rear casting deck for this year. I have seen them for newer ones but don't know if they were made for my year. Also, if anyone has one for my model year I would appreciate any help on measurements, and how they are hooked on to the boat, so I could make one myself. Any pictures would be appreciated too.

p.s. you don't think Ranger would have any lying around the back of the warehouse do you????.....

For what they charge, you're better off building your own. I'm no handyman, but managed one that works quite well for me. See link:

That platform looks great, my only problem is that on the passenger side of the boat has no place to rest the board on for support so I will have to figure out a way to brace that side of the platform. I can probably figure something out, but any ideas are appreciated.

Where did you get the metal plates for the center brace? They look like Seat bases, but I couldn't find them at Fleet Farm or in the Cabelas catalog. I also checked at Menard's because they also look like they could be some sort of a floor brace. Either way, I was not able to find anything like your picture shows.
