I got to fish today a bit, and I noticed something that I hadn't before. One of my hounds rolls top in as you tap it. It still swings out, but rolls top in. Isn't that totally backwards to what you would think?
The other question, is there a "favorite" glider that will present like the hellhound, but you can really make move faster? I've not had real good luck finding one. Seems like everything that I find works better slower for me, other than a 6" Reefhawg.

If you can find one, try one of the tuffshad gliders. I don't know why you never hear about them on the boards but they are a great little glider. Slow sink rate with a little "rock" as they go down. You can work them slow and keep them down or start jerking as soon as they hit the water and keep em up high over the weeds. They pop up on epay every now and then.

check out the Baby Wabull.
great quick action, can be worked fast or slow.

there's a pool demo video of it available here:
http://muskie.outdoorsfirst.com/board/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=31...
it's the 8th bait shown on the video.

they're available at both Rollie/Helen's and Thorne Bros.

I just got a Tuff Shad glider in a trade and tried it out for the first time yesterday. If you give it a nice, hard twitch, I could get it to roll almost upside down. I didn't try to fish it fast as water temps were 43-48 degrees. Another bait I am starting to really like is the Nitro. Since you and I fished that one lake, I have caught 3 and lost 4 on them. Those you can fish fast or slow as well.

Everytime I boot the Hounds, they run flat straight, right back to the boat. I love them, but they don't fish fast for me.
Looks like the baby Wabull is one that will work. Tuff shads I hadn't thought of, and Nitro might be a good one to give a shot, too. Thanks guys.

Give the manta or majic maker a try they work great for me at any speed i want.I like the manta better than the magic maker,as i like its profile alot more.I dont throw the 10" manta at all just the 8" all the time.

I work the full sized Wabull VERY fast. Works great! Same with the Reef Hawgs, but those run 'different', staying up more, which is a nice application in some water.

I guess I don't have the hang of the Wabull then, everytime I go to work them fast, I go to hell in a handbasket. Like you said, the RH are one of my favorites to work fast, but only in the 6". I like them a lot, but they tend to stay a little higher than a Hound, or Wabull. Maybe I'll give the Wabulls another shot running fast.
It just seems like I pull them straight, almost like I'm not giving any slack to them. Dunno.

Slammer Drop Belly gliders work pretty well at a fast clip too.
