| Looks like turnover is heading this way quickly up north, the fish will be heading to that deeper break. Just looking for ideas on how you guys attack it? Lures, speeds, depths, etc.

Location: Brookfield | Meat on the deep breaks and I switch to slow presentation baits like big gliders that hang in front of thier nose. The key for me is slow way down, which is the hardest thing for me to do.

I fish the deep breaks with having a sucker running very near the bottom. Having that sucker as close to the bottom as possible is key. I am then casting deep diving cranks that aren’t really buoyant. Triple D’s and Warner’s work great as I can pause them. I also throw a lot of rubber like Joe’s and Mag. dawgs, and look forward to using the 11” suzy, and a countdown crank I got from Roger.
Sometimes the fish are running high on the breaks, but most time you have to be running your baits near the bottom. An underutilized lure is the countdown depthraider. It is a paint to work right in my opinion, but has saved a few days for me. I will occasionally run up on the shallow side of the break and cast deep. That way I can “bump” my d-raider all the way up the break. The base of the break (deepest part) and the top of the break (shallowest part) is where you will get hit.
