Geez, the other day Sloan and I were trying to knock out a sucker segment for my show and after some bad luck, got nothing! The a group of Hooksetters were out guiding and we landed 16 fish. The most impressive were this upper 40's natural and this fat tiger. In addition, we landed a couple other 43" - 45" fish and many on 6# test with jigs and minnows or plastics while clients were trying for walleyes. Weird day...

Is that the new Green bay luxury cruiser in the background?

Also, I didn't know they put muskies in the big submarine tank at the mall in Edmonton....

I know your spots now!!!!

The guy with the Bear's hat is pictued inside a cruise ship and not a mall. Another reason you wouldn't catch me on one of those floating "Typhoid Mary's"! The 45" looks much bigger than 45"! Is Pete Hillman still with Hooksetters? I've always wanted to fish with him or Phil.

i do got to say that this pic blocking is getting rediculas. who cares where you cought it. i am sure that where ever it was there is pressure and your the lucky one who gets bit.. be happy about that. on some of our spots here i have fished behind boats and cought fish after they went over it. so its just plane luck. infact yesterday a buddy nailed a 40 right after i went through the same spot minuits before.....bill

ps nice fish though

Congrats Justin. I fish the same area and can only commend him for taking the time to edit the backgrounds a bit. While I just choose not to share the pics anymore as I've been ridiculed for editing backgrounds on occasion here, I don't mind that he shared the pics as I love to see muskies. Additionnally, it is nice that the spot was kept on the down low, as it is truly a gem that hasn't reached the masses. Even better, that he added some humor to the edits. Don't be bothered by the negatives Justin, as there are far more people around here commending you for preserving certain point-on areas, than the unhealthily angry that don't bother to employ the time to enjoy the same success....

Justin,

Was that the same cruise ship that went by us on Thursday with all the naked chicks on it?

HI guys, nice fish. I just don't get it though. The excessive photo shopping seems a little weird, almost suspicious.

I fish with some big name people in this sport and get taken to some top secret spots. You know how we keep them quiet. WE DON'T TALK ABOUT THEM. I learned a LONG time ago that if you want to keep something quiet you need to just not talk about it.

Again, I'm not trying to slam you for the pics, but more so giving you some friendly advice about keeping spots quiet.

That said, cool work with the photo shop. I was on a Royal Caribbeam cruise a few years ago. I would rather take up walleye fishing than go on another cruise!

I can understand a person who makes a living off of providing a guide service keeping their hot spots secret. I personally am happy to share with anyone the when, where, and hows. The best thing about Musky fishing is catching one, the second best thing is seeing others catch one. I view this web site far more than I contribute, but I've seen alot of these posts hi-jacked by this very debate. Whether someone wants to keep their locations secret or not, the fact of the matter is those are nice fish and a job well done.
