It mostly depends on where you fish and how many days or years you you get to fish.

Doug is right. Fish where there are big fish, and fish alot, you will have good big fish numbers.

I was lucky to have the chance to go up to LOTW in 2001 with a group from MI. I was casting a brand new Pacemaker & boom. A 51"er was in the net after a few nice runs. I caught it on a Berkly lightning rod W/an ABU C4 & that black cortland line I used back then. Pure luck!

2003 I was in Wisconsin fishing in late October out the back of a friends boat, I had a monster sucker on a QS rig & Boom! A 50"er picked it up & I managed to get the hooks in her on the hook set. Hooks came out in the net. Pure luck! She was a fat fat fish!

Never been the same since & still enjoy every fish as if it were my first. Even the little guys get me shakin. Have a few new baits now & better equipment, but try to keep it simple. When that changes, I'm afraid I will look for something else that I feel that kind of passion for. Not anytime soon!

Be safe & have fun this fall!

I have three of my own at 50" , 50 1/2" and 56 1/2". My boat partner has two of his own as well at 52 1/4" and 53". Nothing over 50" in the boat since the 2005 season but we still have some time left in 2007 and will be fishing some big fish water so say a few prayers huh......
