|
| Ralph,
Didnt fish sunday. I would have love to though. Catching a muskie under those spawning conditions would have been a feat of strength!

| Nice catch, but did anybody take a close look at the picture. I think it's a mounted replica, look at all the shadows in the picture, they don't line up and the dead give away is musky Illini's smile, how can you hold a heavy pig like that and not make a face? he must have eaten his wheaties that morning.
OK, I'm JOKING, I've been waiting for a situation or picture I could do this with after all the hoop-la last fall.[] |

|
| Muskie_Illini - Good to meet you out on the water. Ralph and I saw that fish back in Echo Bay on the surface flipping its tail. We went to take a closer look but it went under, briefly.
ps. You didn't miss a thing on Sunday. We ended up trailering to Lake Y down the street to see if the water temps were a little cooler but that turned out with only 2 lookers.
ps. The local "ballet" was OUTSTANDING!!!. I wish we had brought slamr's digital camera because Corey was at his prime and "took a few for the team"! |

| So there we are, me and Boro....and here comes MIllini motoring up with THE BIGGEST grin on his face...."wanna see the 30lber that I just caught?". I'm like F*CK, all we did all day is nail a whopper of a 29" and Boro missed 4 (and moved about 7 little BOYS, all the girls where up making babies)!!! "Gotta look at this pic on the digital camera"....I'm cringing thinking that I have to say he did better than me that day. Shows me the pic, I almost fall out of the boat laughing, now that's a TROPHY. Good to meet you in person, too bad all you can do is hand-land defenseless carp.
Slamr
*I am f*cking ROASTING!!!!! Sun screen is there for a reason... |

|
| Is that the Illinois state fish?? |
|
| |
|
| After looking at the picture, it's obvious why the lure did not want to be identified...[] |
|
| |
|
| Todd, good to know I wasn't the only one who noticed the CENSORED bar across the baits eyes. Is it THAT good of a carp bait, that MIllini doesn't want us to ruin his honey hole by overharvesting them?
hmmmm, something fishy going on here. |

| MUSKY ILLINI,
It's bad enough that I am waiting for my new boat, then I look at your picture and I realize how good that baby must have tasted in the deep fryer. LOL...Just kidding, but you are making me miss the Fox Chain, I come into a few encounters a spring with the things and the worst part is you don't know if its a big fish just staying down or that. And let me guess, it was bleeding all over your carpet.
To the reply about MI eating his wheaties...he didn't eat them but he did put wheatie balls on his hooks... Just some friendly (jealous) humor. I'll be on the Chain hopefully this coming weekend so you guys can rip on me if I drag in some Golden Muskies!

| Taking a close look at the censored lure... it was obviously hand-crafted by the master lure craftsman himself. Nice paint job too! |
|
| |
|
| Were can I get one of them lures? Tonka has a lot of carp and when thing get slow I think I might try for them. [] [] [] |
