| The Fargo-Moorhead Chapter of Muskies Inc. stocked their 2nd shipment of fish today. Last year we put 566 Muskies into a west-central Minnesota lake that had previously not been stocked with them. This year we got around 540 stocked. We are currently involved in a 5 year plan that will eventually cost us around $25,000.00. It's a lot of money, but it sure is nice putting those fish in a new lake. 5-6 years from now, who knows what kind of fishery we may have. Here is a photo that the delivery guys took, or the DNR maybe, I'm not sure. Not the best quality, but you can see the little guys pretty good. I think they were around 13 inches long. Posts: 133 Location: Lake Tomahawk, Musky Central, USA | Stocking musky is a great time. My dad and I stocked 700 10inchers way back when I was just a little kid and it was an excellent experience | ||

| I guess it's not really a secret. It will be a while before anyone will be catching them anyway. Many Point Lake. | |||

Posts: 2024 | I'm most impressed by two things: 1) their coloration and 2) their mass. It looks like they are really well built. The muskie I'm looking at right now (in my tank) is about the same size (~13") but not nearly as well built. Actually, he's pretty fat right now after just snarfing a fathead... lol | ||

| Sorry it took me so long to get back to you, Sean. The DNR guy in charge of the stocking had mentioned that too. He said they were "really good looking fish", or something like that. I wish I'd have had been notified beforehand about the stocking, so I could have taken a few pictures myself, but it didn't happen. I met you at Red Wing a few years ago. You and Spencer still going up there every year? I was there in September and it was awful. All I caught was a 32" fish. Later. | |||
