Location: Tinley Park. Fish Cen IL. Bass & Vilas Cty.Muskie | I would just like to know some basics to T-ing hooks. Should I stick the base hook in the vise and T-both hooks or just 1 hook.Is there certain pliers you like to use ? I am just looking for a quick lesson on T ing Hooks so I do not weaken the hooks too much. The hooks are good hooks and I am guessing when I bend them quickly they weaken more than if I bend them slowly- Is this true ? Thanks.

| I use vice grips to hold the shank in place, and then pliers to bend the hooks outward, leaving the <welded> third hook in its original position. Never broke one, but I think trying to bend the one that's welded might be asking for trouble. |

Location: Tinley Park. Fish Cen IL. Bass & Vilas Cty.Muskie | Thanks for the tip on the welded hook. It it sooo ez for experienced muskie fisherman to pass up on a simple question like this one. I really appreciate you taking the time to put me on the right path. I know there are a few more good tips that I could use and hope others can share them too. Thanks again. |
