I would just like to know some basics to T-ing hooks. Should I stick the base hook in the vise and T-both hooks or just 1 hook.Is there certain pliers you like to use ? I am just looking for a quick lesson on T ing Hooks so I do not weaken the hooks too much. The hooks are good hooks and I am guessing when I bend them quickly they weaken more than if I bend them slowly- Is this true ? Thanks.

I use vice grips to hold the shank in place, and then pliers to bend the hooks outward, leaving the <welded> third hook in its original position. Never broke one, but I think trying to bend the one that's welded might be asking for trouble.

Thanks for the tip on the welded hook. It it sooo ez for experienced muskie fisherman to pass up on a simple question like this one. I really appreciate you taking the time to put me on the right path. I know there are a few more good tips that I could use and hope others can share them too. Thanks again.
