Posts: 1939 Location: Black Creek, WI | Well... the Dubba 10 in-lines are rockin' the musky world... and for good reason. Fish just plain EAT THEM. I prototyped some Super Chinook and Musky Bling type knock-offs last season... and chose not to copy them (They are both awesome spinnerbaits by the way). But, after experimenting with a tip from my friend Roger Watters to put two blades on a single split-ring... I came to realize that it works awesome and still keeps the advantages of a true spinnerbait. Combine that with too many testimonials that the "smooth whoosh" of water from the double blade configuration just plain getting bit when nothing else will... I think its time to unveil Long Tale Tackle's newest addition. The Double Magnum Long Tale. Attachments ---------------- Double Magnum Hot Whitefish LongShot.jpg (99KB - 94 downloads)

I have a funny feeling its going to score big on Eagle Lake in a few weeks. Good luck, Art!! Attachments ---------------- Double Mag Orange-Black Shimmerin LongShot.jpg (77KB - 105 downloads)

Posts: 97 Location: Grand Rapids, Michigan | do you fish down around osbourne bay in eagle lake? Because where i fish eagle is very clear. Also, if you dont mind me asking, what company do you go through to have your blade stickers done or do you do them yourself?

Posts: 1939 Location: Black Creek, WI | Blaster... you betcha I made one for Piggy. My lovely bride tied one up for me too! Hope they are both chewed up beyond repair by the end of next week! Dockboy, a friend of mine makes the stickers for me. Muskiefool, I didn't come up with the idea... but was tipped off by a friend.... and I gotta tell ya... I'm amazed at how well it works. Eliminated all of my "concerns" with the double-clevis designs. Try it out on any of your own spinnerbaits and see what you think. jlong

Posts: 1939 Location: Black Creek, WI | Guest, The Double Cowgirl dominated our trip to Minnesota. Why? Because we had 4 days of dead flat calm conditions that had the fish set up in extremely shallow water. The heavier spinnerbait was too deep of an offering.... and conditions were perfect for the Double Cowgirl. So... the Double Cowgirl got the most playing time... and as a result, caught most of the fish. As a result... it won't be long before you see a lighter version of the Double Magnum Longtail. A 2.0 oz head with #8 Hooks and thinner blades for more lift... but I'm still workin' on that. For me personally, I still prefer a single blade on my spinnerbaits... but??? jlong

Posts: 1939 Location: Black Creek, WI | After more experimentation with this design.... looks like TROLLING is the best option for the Double Magnums. I have high hopes for the fall trolling run..... and my shoulders/forearms will be thankful for that (heh heh).
