HI all, I have retired from fishing the Hodag Muskie Challenge and will now be in charge of the judge boats on Pelican Lake along with Steve Worrall!

There are still openings for this big money tournament. Entry fee is $250.00 per boat with a guaranteed first prize of $20,000.

The dates are Sept. 21-23rd with the 21st being registration and the 22nd and 23rd fishing 5 different lake families in the Rhinelander area.

If you are interested please contact the Rhinelander Chamber at 1-800-236-4386.

John

Hay all, I was sorry to lose John as a partner in this event, but with him and Steve doing the judge boats on Pelican I am confident this tourney will continue on Pelican and the other Rhinelander Area lake well into the future.

Again another great event run by good people. And it’s hard to sneeze at a 1 and 200 chance at $20,000 for a lottery ticket of $250 dollars.

Hope to see some board regulars there.

Nail A Pig!

Mike

Almost forgot:
Jeff, John is John Stelleflu,
Former Owner Operator Oneida Esox Guide Service
Former Musky board regular contributor
Former MRoberts Hodag Musky Challenge partner
Former Musky Catcher.......O wait he started catching them again this year, just not in League.

MR

LOL, that is a very tuff description you have given. Let me copy that down in case I have to write an obituary on the bugger.

Maybe we could just call him "Former" from now on...:)

Thanks, John I should never have forgot that.

I did forget a few others though:
Former Canadian partner; soon to get that Band back together.
Former Last Day of the Season partner.
Former source of on the water musky info.

It all boils down to a couple of items, GET A NEW job and take those stupid Bow and Arrows and put them back in storage. How am I supposed to know what the fish are doing, for my once every other week day on the water if my number one scouter is off on dry land trying to shoot a stupid rat with fancy head gear!!!!!! Deer season should go from New Years Day until Christmas, then maybe I would hit a lot fewer with my truck. I have never hit a musky with my truck! Thank GAWD you can’t CPR a DEER!

Nail A Pig, and kill a DEER!

Mike

P.S. John maybe we can get out on the water a couple more times this fall, this is if your not stuck up a tree some place.

Also, co-star of the best barefoot musky film I've ever seen. Sent to me by Uncle Frank.

TD Lake groups are as follows.

Pelican Lake
Boom Lake / Rhinelander Flowage
Crescent, Oneida, Hancock Lakes
Julie, George, Thompson Lakes
Moens Chain of Lakes

You sign up to fish one of the above lake groups for the weekend. You are allowed to hope between lakes in the same group, but not to lakes in another group. Hope that makes sense.

This address should also help.
