Posts: 633 Location: Bloomington, MN | I let my guard down over this past Holiday weekend, and had my Lowrance 5300C iGPS stolen out of my truck. The flunkie didn't like my Lowrance 67C, a bag with a digital camera, or boxes of baits, but also decided that they liked a sandwich bag filled with about $4 in change plus some bad tuxedo rental studs that I've been meaning to return for a couple of years. I was stupid enough not to document the serial #, but after getting a new one tonight I noticed it was printed on a label on the box. I climbed up into the 100+ degree rafters of the garage to retrieve the box only to find that the serial # stickers had been removed by the retail store or somewhere along the line. I also lost my MN Lake Master chip and 90% of a R.A.M. mount. Since I was up at Camp Happy "Thorne Bros." replacing what I NEED!! (How could anyone fish without one of these fantastic contraptions??..much better than the C-Lector/paper weight). I got, well you know...some more stuff! I better be in the top three in two weeks at the Hodag, or I might be living in a Whirlpool box under a viaduct!

What lake was it stolen from? I had my back straps and tansom saver stolen on Mille Lacs 2 weeks ago, first time I did not put them into the back seat of my truck.. The post above makes a good point, copy seriel #'s and also take pictures of all the valuables in your boat for insurance proof.. (Maybe take pictures of your buddies expensive stuff too....)

Posts: 457 | That plain sucks. I got a bunch of gear nabbed on chequamegon bay this July. Only to turn around on the same trip and have some drunken idiot crash into the boat. (Different lake, as if it makes a difference.) I was nearly completely without gear for the better part of a month while insurance handled stuff.

JCLYMER "What lake was it stolen from? I had my back straps and tansom saver stolen on Mille Lacs 2 weeks ago, first time I did not put them into the back seat of my truck.. I saw your stuff on the Grass! South side of the ramp at the access North of the Casino. It looked like you forgot to put it in your truck when you took them off. It was around noon on Sat the 25th when I saw them.

LOL, hhhmmmm, that would be my stuff... Nevermind, nothing stolen.... That is the access, date and close to the time my boat went in... Too funny..... Guess I thought I threw it in the back of my truck, pulled off the water pretty late that night and was ticked off that someone stole my stuff... See what happens when you don't sleep.....

Posts: 633 Location: Bloomington, MN | Mr. Jclymer, I've lost a trailer light plug-in and a lock by doing the same. Ironically I've had a half empty beer make it 17 miles to work on a Monday morning on the back bumper due to genetic mindlessness. Talk about advertising a hobby! The GPS was stolen from my truck in west Bloominton, MN in front of my house on a cul-de-sac between 11:45am-1:30pm this past Saturday. What Kahonnes (s.p.?)! I'm situating myself under a pine tree the next few nights, and will be decked in camo from head to toe with a very big stick. I have the power cable hanging out of the truck window and the owners manual taped to the door as bait! They always come back to the scene of the crime. Hopefully I will be selling chum at the Hodag at Low Discount Prices! Edited by Clark A 9/5/2007 9:37 PM

Posts: 109 Location: Spencer, Wisconsin | As I left your humorous voice mail earlier trying to chear you up posing as the "emphasis insurance sales person Bob F." who never cashes in on the true value of an excellant GPS locator. Its extremely frustrating to discover a valuable piece of boy toy equipment is not worth pennies after a year and a few trips to the fun pond(s). All I can say is the little sfinkster(s) who decided to 5-finger discount your GPS decide to use it for the first time find it so complex they sneak back to the house and slip it under the front bush and leave a note stating "soo sorry we were to simple to understand this equipment so we grew a conscience", by the way can we keep the change and cheap tux stuff? Well, speaking from experience and being victomized a couple times all you can do is chawk it up as an unfortunate experience and look on the bright side it broke your day up by going to your favorite hang out and dropping a few C-notes.

Posts: 1310 Location: Washington, PA | I know how you feel, I had mine and my wife's vehicle's broken into last night, in the driveway. Luckily the left the boat alone. Found some of the stuff out of my wife's purse scattered in the woods about a mile away.
