As you might know, in the interests of science, Reef Hawg voluntarily put his own life on the "line" so to speak by gulping the flouro a couple days ago. If this stiff line pierces his intestine or if he still has an appendix and it catches there and pokes a hole or sets off appendicitis, well, he could be on death's door in a heartbeat. Many of us have urged him to eat a lot of bread, kind of like the fishbone theory, hoping it will cushion it and push it on through. Those of you that want to say something nice about Reef Hawg now, before he is gone, might want to say it while the opportunity exists. Of course if it is something somewhat insincere, or you owe him money, you might want to keep quiet in case he lives.
What the heck, if it is insincere and he lives, he won't know the difference and he will feel like he owes you something!

I will start. I wanted him to take me fishing last year, but he didn't, and he seemed quite nice about it, and sort of had a good excuse. I mean like he didn't call me a southern cretin or anything like that...

BTW, I have heard if he lives through the flouro swallowing experiment, next week he will swallow a two pound, medium rare steak, whole, tied to some more line and will let members then jerk it back out of his stomach, or lift him by the string. I think he will do that as soon as he passes the flouro and rechecks his life insurance policy, and get's the ok from his MS.

This is the most 'interesting' post I have read all year.

Post of the year so far, I think!

Well, two things, I think M1 should flip for steak, and also secure one of those endoscopy cams you swallow at the hospital to check your innards as it passes through.

If he swallows the cam first, we can watch as the steak gets pulled on or jerked out. Granted the show will be a short one if the lower esophageal sphincter and fundus start hemorrhaging, but the pumping bursts of the red arterial flow ought to be spectacular while he lasts.

LOL, good stuff man. The Papst is his friend. Matter of fact, it's what we in the medical industry refer to as a Papst schmear. The drinking of this highly volitile substance will aid in the passing of the floro, with minimal damage. Our thoughts are with him during this ground breaking study.

Well, in my undying will to maintain my persona de honesty, I decided to document the endeavor(wife also made me do so, for life insurance purposes...). In the mean time, I became a bit hungry, and fully realized that a 5" piece of 150# Florocarbon just wouldn't quiet the pangs. So... I decided to just attach my second favorite(didn't want to try it with my favorite on the maiden voyage) GP-Thumper AC-10(yes, an effective, but different, double Cowgirl rip-off). I would have prefferred a chartreause blade, and possibly a silicon skirt for lubrication going down, but with just a dash of McCormicks Montreal steak seasoning and a quick wash with a PBR shorty, down it went. Will report progress tommorrow(hopefully).

If you have to have a cam shoved down to check things out, they might need to check the lower GI lower and I think we can all figure out what end that is going in! Enjoy. LOL

Great thread.

Was it the original Monteral seasoning or the Spicy Montreal....both good choices, although I lean more towards the spicy.

ok, now THIS is good stuff! nice to see that some have developed a sense of humor, however twisted it might be.

In view of the original thread, the swallowing a steak on a string is fantastically funny!

He'll pass the Flouro, no problem. I'm almost positive. I think. Well, it's a risk I'm willing to take. Not sure on the bait.

Well..... I...err...it made it through this one. Got up this morning to a bowl bowl of bran flakes and the rest is history. Heck, even felt good enough to run out and take a few quick casts over a big one I had spotted a few times over the months with the lucky lure and leader, to make sure they still worked. They did..... Gonna try a 10" Jake for a mid morning snack, followed by some sort of Delong product. I jusat love the smell/flavor of that anise oil on those eels.

Tried to come off as a tough guy, but I may take hiatus from AC-10 ingestion. Wife loves to cook Mexican, and after a round of chili cheese burritos, the flashabou-created-abrasion on my innards caused some trouble. I think I'll stick to just florocarbon, wire, and hooks from now on...
