sure thing.

here's what you do:

submit a complete bracket of winners for each of the matches throughout all of the MatchFishing playoff tournament.
correct picks in rd 1 are worth 1pt, rd 2 are worth 2 pts, and the Championship 3 pts.

round 1:

1) Horseshoe (Brad "Msky Hnr" Nelson/Dan "GOTONE" Okray)
vs
8) Bad Koalas (Andrew "Slamr" Golden/Nikki "Crash" Golden)

4) Musky Maniacs (Joe "joe m" Martinelli/partner)
vs
5) Tuff Team (Norm "nwild" Wild/Jason "saint1" St. Mary)

3) Team Therapy (Michael "lambeau" Winther/Tim "river runt" Thomas)
vs
6) Full Nelson (John "muskie man" Johannes/Joey Rozanski)

2) Western Slime (Kent "sorenson" Sorenson/Drew Cushing)
vs
7) Strange Days (Roger "h2os2t" Watters/Joe Junion)

round 2:
1/8 winner
vs
4/5 winner

3/6 winner
vs
2/7 winner

round 3:
Championship

TIE-BREAKER: total inches caught by both teams in final match.

remember, submit your picks for each match in all 3 rounds.
have fun!

6) Full Nelson
---------------------------vs ---------> 3) Team Therapy
2) Western Slime
vs ---------------> 7) Strange Days
7) Strange Days

Tie Breaker -> 160"

These are going to be some tough match's. Because of the cooling water in N. WI, I think that Kent is at an disadvantage here dispite his access to some really big Tiger's. I hope I'm wrong. Good luck to all!

Have fun!
Al

It is the war to end all wars. Who wants it more?? JJ or BN????

In the end the silent assassin Dan O will bag a couple of nice kicker fish in the afternoon and Horse Shoe wins.

BN earns the right to talk smack for another year, he gets the three peat.

I'll play.

Round 1

Disproving the old sailor's adage that women in a boat are bad luck, Nikki "Crash McGolden" Golden weagles the Bad Koalas to a monumental upset victory over the much hyped Team Horseshoe (Dan will put Brad on fish, but Brad just can't close the deal) by catching two fish while taking breaks from her reading to rest her tired eyes.

Proving that a large man and a man with a large head can do more than just enough to win, nwild and Saint1 expand their way into the second round when Saint1 catches, if not the Queen, at least the Queen's robust younger sister. He will be using a steel leader. nwild will contribute with a fish from that spot he told me about where Slamr caught that fish that one time. For Musky Maniacs, one won't be enough.

Relatively new father Mike "Lambeau" Winther, will utilize the technique developed by Tuffy1 and myself. The technique puts forth that lowering your concentration level enough to proclaim the joys of fatherhood while in conversation with your boat partner opens a bite window. As it usually does, this will take place between 10:30 and 11:30 am and result in one fish. Sadly for him, JJ, misses his one chance for victory, failing to set the hook while pondering why the heck that power fade he's been playing all summer, has recently turned into a power slice.

In the fourth match of the round of eight, Kent "The Demolisher" Sorenson, and his partner, continue Kent's demolishing ways, with a Match Fishing record seven fish over 30", for a total of 217 inches. Like all Kent's records, the fish will be released with no angler remorse or hesitation of any kind.

The semi-finals:

Bad Koalas vs Tuff Team

Crabby all day from forgotten coffee and a meager breakfast of one order of bacon and a few measly shriveled pork sausages, Slamr fishes angry. Frightening two mid 30's muskies onto his hooks will be enough to edge out the man with the large head and the large man. The Cinderella story continues into the final round for Bad Koalas.

Western Slime vs Team Therapy

No matter how much they analyze the whole situation, Lambeau and The River Runt will not be able to slow the forward march of Lambeau's close friend, "The Demolisher". Another multi-fish day for the mountain men propels them into the finals. Tiger stripes have never been so in vogue. Even the PETA people begin wearing fiberglass reproductions.

The Final Showdown

Bad Koalas vs Western Slime

It's not the titanic battle of big names the networks expected when the season started, but many will tune in as the men from the west step up to dance with Cinderella. Instead of glass slippers, she'll be wearing steel toed boots, Crash and Slamr ready to stomp "The Demolisher" and his partner Drew for the slightest misstep.

The wave of good fortune for Western Slime will not and cannot be stopped. Their mojo is just to darn powerful, and they take the Championship out of true musky territory to the land of the mountain Tigers with 103 inches of slimy stripes.

I expect my predictions to be one of a kind, but will throw out a tie breaker number of 142 inches for the final match.
