| Lots of posts here about them. How many actually hook up the starting battery when using a multi-bank??? I was looking at one in Cabelas, that will divert to the battery that needs it more. Power leads are only 6 feet long. Starting battery is in the back and the deep cycle is about as forward as I could put it. 16 foot boat. Solder a new section in?? Thanks again. |

Location: minocqua, wi. | spent a number of years without the cranker connected and finally got a pro-mariner with all batteries touching it and wish i had done it years ago. i don't run enough to keep the cranker charged so for me it is the best option. |

| i've got a Pro-Mariner as well, installed up front by my trolling motor batteries.
i bought an extension kit at Gander Mtn (they carry Pro-Mariner brand accessories). it came with the proper wire and wire connections so i could run a charging bank to the stern for my cranking battery.
very easy to install, and works great.

| I ProMariners in my Tuffy 1890. A dual bank up front, and a single 6 amp in back. I wanted to get my usual Guest 3 bank, but I couldn't find one in stock, for the price I wanted. So, I went the ProMariner route. Works OK. I still like the guest better.
Anyway, I would always have a charger for the starting battery. Especially in muskie fishing, we don't run the big motor enough to keep that battery topped off. I plug mine in every time I get off the water. |

Location: Athens, Ohio | I added a relatively inexpensive 2 amp charger from AutoZone to my Gambler's 2 battery charger system. I figured the starter battery really didn't need a lot of attention, but an overnight 2 amp charge wouldn't hurt, either. Works out OK so far, the big charger works on the deep cycle batteries and the little one does it's thing on the starter. m |

Location: Contrarian Island | I have a ProMariner tournament pro 150 or something like that....it rocks...I would not hestitate to buy a Pro Mariner if I were you!
as others have said, always charge your starting battery as the new high powered electronics can really draw on the battery
