I need a musky guide for august 31st in Brainerd area. Waited awhile. Probably all the good ones are booked. Any leads? Close to Mil lacs, staying at gull lake.

Duck,

Just out of curiosity, have you been out on Lake Hubert in the last few years? I haven't been out there since I was 14-15 and attended Fish Tech part of Camp Lincoln (the remodeled version of Camp Fish). I was bitten by the Esox fever up there with my first pike at a WHOPPING ten inches... lol.

Lake Hubert is great. I supervised Fish Tech for Camp Lincoln before it was terminated. We have put some large bass in the boat 3 years in a row. Never got any big pike. esox50- did you work up there or a camper? Man do I miss that small lake. The sheriff still out in his warrior? lol the good ol days....

eswox50,
No I havnt. Like was said, its a great bass lake. havnt realy targeted pike out there but do get bit off from time to time fishing bass. We have our MI chapter winter outing out there every year and we do pick up pike that day. Nothing real big though. Sorry I couldnt be more help.

No problem, DUCK. As Scott said, I miss that lake a ton. Lots of great memories as a kid! Too bad to hear it was terminated!

By the way, we never got any really big pike though a few mid 20s". haha! Gladstone was a riot for dink pike and Lougee Lake boasts good populations of decent sized pike and big bass. Had all of our muskie gear stolen from Lougee on our way up to LOTW in 2003. That launch spelled trouble though.
