Location: Ogden, Ut | I've been using an Okuma telescoping 8'6" MH and absolutely love it for jerks and gliders. Loads well on the cast and has a soft enough tip to 'spring' some action into the baits. I'll probably end up getting another one when they become readily available. California_ Muskie (Mark) knows more about the timetable for the retail release of these rods.

| This is the only place where I like a shorter rod. I've tried the 8 foorters and the 7'6" rods and I just can't seem to get the right action with jerkbaits, gliders, or WTD baits. For me the perfect stick for this is a St Criox 6'9" H, or the Fig Rig 6'10" H jerkbait rod. Probably just because that's what I'm used to, though. |
