ive been having a lot of trouble seeing fish lately. its been real tough fishing for me. how have you guys been catching muskies in wisconsin? i think im having a really off season because i havent caught a muskie since june. its terrible. and ive been spending alot of time on the water. maybe ive been choosing the wrong baits for different situations. or maybe cause its because ive been using cowgirls alot and only big fish eat those things and everybody knows theres no big fish in wisconsin

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin		Moved 4 tonight, lost one, three on Weagles and one on a Violent Strike Mag Willow. Talked to another angler who popped a nice 46.5 on a Dawg. Where are you fishing?

ive been fishing boom alot, but im starting to change lakes. thinking of heading to a couple new lakes but not sure which ones yet. have you been fishing shallow, mid depth, or deep?

Location: Oconto Falls, WI		Don’t “pigeon hole” yourself to just one lake in a day. The key to success in my boat this year has been to jump lakes if nothing was going in a couple of hours. In fact, that is the way I fish each season. Northern WI has too many lakes for someone to jump on a lake and fish it the entire day if the lake just isn’t producing. Stay mobile, and keep jumping until you find a lake that is happening.

Look at a map, and set a tentative schedule of what lakes you’ll hit throughout the day. If anything else you’ll have a plan of what lakes you can hit within a short drive even if you don’t stick to your schedule. Conditions often change my schedule around, but I still jump lakes because I am not sitting on a dead lake saying “Gee, perhaps I should go to another lake. I wonder what other lake I should fish around here”.

I still grind it out on lakes on occasion, but that’s simply because I am stubborn on that day and am determined to make it happen there.

All have good fish, all have good numbers. Spider is a numbers lake, but has fish in the mid 40's around.

Location: ohio		where you fishing ? In ohio,it's pretty much stagnant, too hot for me. these cooler nights might help some though.

Man, don't even worry about it. I had a bunch of fishless days last season, and the season before that -- it got to the point where I was second guessing EVERYTHING -- wrong baits, wrong spot, wrong guide, wrong retrieve, wrong day, wrong color, wrong time of the month...

It got to the point where it was taking the enjoyment out of fishing -- I had figured out how many days it had been, how many hours since I saw a fish, how many casts... This year a funny thing happened: I stopped worrying about it. I decided to fish for the fun of fishing and if I didn't see a fish, SO WHAT? It's not MY fault these stupid things only eat once every three days! Sooner or later, you will come across a hungry one. And sooner or later you will come across a curious one that you can fool into eating. Some days you'll se a bunch of fish. Some days you won't. All you can do is make sure you and your equipment are ready for when you find a hungry one, because it could be a big one. And enjoy the ride.
