well i was verrry bummed out this past weekend.. someone broke into our storage unit and stole 6,500 worth of bow equipment and mis hunting stuff. and to top it off they broke or destroyed anything they could. . and they also took a bass box and a musky box of my nephiews. and his bow also. he is in florida and when i called him he is just davistated too. hopefully my house insurance will help out with this but unsure about that. at least i still have the hunting bow here. but the ones that they got were well one of them were worth 2 grand alone and a indoor one worth 1,500 and 5 other bows they even took my 10 yr olds lefty pse bandit.. a rare one and a first generation mathews that was worth a ton.. . anyway sorry to vent here but i have been crying about this all weekend.. thanx guys....bill

What a kick in the nuts as the fever is now setting in for most of us bow hunters and shooters. I pray your insurance will cover that.

I hope someone someday will payback those low life pricks. God willing they will feel your pain at some time in their life.

Bummer for sure..............

wow, that sucks. i would probably cry if that happened to me and my insurance didn't cover it.

just an idea, but keep an eye on ebay and other online auction sites where this stuff could be sold. more than likely they were stealing it to sell. you could also post a list on here so that others could watch for it.

i hope these guys get caught.

Breaking and destroying stuff means two important things, they are locals, and they are kids. That means your stuff is around the area as are the perps. Rewards posted in the area might find them out.

One word my man, KARMA, seen it too many times to discount. Their actions will be revisited upon them tenfold.

Hopefully your insurance takes care of you and the cops catch the lowlifes and you can get your kid's bow back.

Yea, I agree with whynot, you should watch ebay and the other popular auction sites. You should also watch your local newspaper. I am very sorry to hear about your loss. Hopefully you will get your items back, and if not at least insurance money. I will keep an eye open on ebay for you. Good luck.

Wow what a bummer, that sucks bigtime! Did it ever cross your mind that maybe someone knew you had that stuff in there beforehand? Was there other storage units broke into also? Either way that's still a bummer, I hope you get your stuff covered and I hope they catch the S.O.B's. I know the feeling I got my Ranger 690 fisherman stolen from me! Right out of my friends yard where I had it locked up and for sale. They got the guy a few months later, he turned himself in. So stay positive!

Sorry to hear, that rubs. Hope the cops turn something up and your ins. covers you. I agree with Sloan, it'll come back to them. Gotta be some methheads, that stuff is EVIL.

If you have any pawn shops in the area check in every week. Also if you have any of the seriel numbers report the numbers to the police with your list of items.I have had tools stolen and the second time i had all the seriel numbers logged and when they brought the stuff to a detroit pawn shop they were caught and most of my stuff was recovered.Sorry to here of your tremendous loss

I use a storage unit as well so thats some scary stuff, I'm rooting for you, hope it all comes out well either with insurance or preferably catching the losers and getting your stuff back. Stealing is bad enough but vandilizing on top of it is unfathomable to me.

DOH !!! That blows hard core bro !! Sorry to hear that , years back ( many ) mine and my fathers fishing stuff got ripped off .. ALL of it !! I was extremely ticked off to say the least , it happened right after we moved to Illinois from Minnesota . I went fishing everyday until that happened , we never had alot of money so replacing it wasn't easy . I feel you pain and hope you get reimbursed or get MOST of your stuff back in tact . Something has to be done about the meth heads and their BS , I do believe that's where it went !! HAD buddies who got wrapped up in that crap and I've seen 1st hand what they'll do for a buzz . Sorry again to hear about your fiasco and I hope it works out in you and your family's favor !!

Sorry to hear that Bill, I hope your insurance covers the entire loss. Crazy meth heads most likely with just the motivation to sell stuff of value for more meth. Good luck getting everything replaced and especially my old Buchertails LOL

well guys thanx for all the kind and sprit upbring words. i found out that my insurance is gona help me out we think. we have to get back in the storage roomm and go throught it and see what all is salvagable. they pretty much destroyed alot of stuff. like my sons piano they broke the leggs right off of it. getting the bows out i would guess and . i had a box jammed full of cb's from my trucking days and a base station and a camcorder and vcr they are gon too. so there is more that they took . and they destroyed so much that we are gonna have to just take pics and throw it away... and yes im still crying about the bows. i have won so many first places with the i.b.o. outdoor bow and indoor bow that they can never be replaced. it took me 2 years to get them to shoot perfectly for me. i know i have not shot on the pro circut in 6 yrs or so but its like riding a bike to me i can still robinhood them today. anyway i will be in contact with pawn shops and local sporting goods places and be watching ebay couse i would love to get them guys . and get my bows back......bill

Bill,

Is Angola, Indiana anywhere near you? There is a Pawn Shop called Money$ource on e-bay from there that has several bows on auction. Check them out; you can contact them via e-bay's "contact seller link" if you recognize any of their auction items as your bows.

I actually just won high bid on a left handed Mathews Outback bow from them. I thought they had a lefty PSE listed as well--can't recall if it was a bandit or not; I believe they had a martin and a dartin listed too.

Good luck tracking down your stuff. I Hope this may help you out.

Tom B.
