| I recently purchased a Lowrance LMS-522c Sonar/GPS and wondering which is the best card for showing underwater detail for inland lakes in Wisconsin. Such as underwater rockpiles & humps, and depth contours for muskie fishing. I am considering the Navionics Hotmaps Premium 2007 Edition or Lakemaster Pro Map Series. Another consideration is which card is easy to use. I would appreciate input from those who have used these products. |

Location: Appleton | I personally would go with the Lakemaster as I've owned the Navionics as well. Both chips are similar in accuracy. It might just come down to price. Both cards are easy to use. |

Location: Musky Tackle Online, MN | I don't know how WI compares. But in MN a big part comes to which lakes you fish. Check out which lakes you plan to spend the most time on, see which chip has which lakes and in what kind of detail. You might notice enough difference there to make your decision an easier one. If that's a wash, then I would go with Lakemaster. Cheaper and it will respond quicker in your Lowrance than the Navionics chip. I don't think accuracy comes into play a whole lot. They're both very good in that regard.

| I cant speak for the 07 Navonics chip, but I much prefer the lakemaster over the 06 navonics. |

Location: north central wisconsin | Take a look at a similar thread on this board regarding this very topic. That said, I prefer nav to LM hands down, but that is on the lakes I fish and the fact that nav is just so much easier to see while standing up in the sun. |
