Short notice I know, but I have my kids for a little less than a week and want to take them to Mantrap.I have called 9 resorts on a couple different lakes with no openings at all. NOT going to Mille Lacs or Vermilion. I thought perhaps someone knows someone who rents out their private place. Looking for Mon.-Wed. of next week.Any help would be greatly appreciated. Steve

it might not be what you are looking for, but when I fished Mantrap I stayed at the Motel 8 in Park Falls...It's practically brand new, only 60 bucks a night, wireless internet and you can plug your boat into the outlets that are on the lot lightposts....Maybe not ideal but it did the job just fine

Thanks man, but as I put my boat in and out at least twice a day, I'd like a place on the water.Plus it would be nicer for the kiddies. Steve

Jone Dog:

You may have no interest in camping, but there is a camp ground right next to the boat landing.

Check if Olsons resort is still open. It's a dump but I stayed there last year and it was like $25 per night and we were the only ones there

You know it's bad when you can't remember where we stayed at a lake,, but we did hit Man Trap for 2 days which was part of an 8 day 8 lake trip. (wonder why I can't remember) I do remember a bunch of pike in there as well as muskies right out in front of the launch and also off a bar to the left side.
