This may sound stupid but what is the best way to attach hooks to the lure? All I can think of is eye screws with epoxy. Any input you can give me will be much appreciated.

I use epoxy on all of the hook screw eyes in my baits. I have never had any problems with them loosening up. Even on baits that I have been running for a few years.

I have used epoxy on screw eyes adn then tried to remove the screw eyes only to break the 0.092 screw eye off in the bait. It will hold! Through wire would be my pref. though for buying a high quality bait.
