Posts: 19 Location: Lake County, IL | I'm looking to add some new glide baits to my never ending tackle box. What are your favorite glide baits and why. I currently have the slidin shad and pronha but Im looking for a bigger profile bait that is easy to move/manipulate. Here are a two I am looking at. Phantom and dunwright dancers What do you think of those two. If you have another recommendation please don't hesitate to tell us why! Thank Musky Gunners!!!!!!!!

Posts: 2112 Location: The Sportsman, home, or out on the water | Mantas and hang tens for ease of use (a monkey on acid could work them). Heckhounds for the same reason, but they just act different. All time favorite (be prepared to work) ShaneW's ten inch Timberwolf's (his new proto is showing alot of promise as well).

I also like the pot belly glider and the easy glider as well as the baitfish glider from hoosier hand made musky baits. Anothermust have is the rubberhairy squirly gill glide from rubberhairy tackle. H20 tackle makes the nitro and the x-glide and I like them alot too.

Posts: 605 Location: Marshfield, WI | My favorite glider is the jerko and squirko. Jerko is pretty easy to use and very erratic and the squirko needs to be fished a little slower but is also a great bait. I also like phantoms, hellhounds, and perkettes, which are hard to find. Anyone have any perkettes that they want to trade/sell??? Krishna

Posts: 408 Location: Omaha, Nebraska | My favorite glider is a Muskie Treat, awesome glide with a rubber tail that just drives the fish crazy Look into getting some of Beaver's gliders, all of them are great gliders Every glider by trueglide, they are a bit pricey but worth it. Also the Hellhound is a good choice.

Posts: 742 Location: Grand Rapids MN | I have both a Hellhound and Hang10. The hellhound is an 'easy' glide with just a twitch of the rod, unlike the Hang10 which takes a little more pull. From what you have I assume you are looking for that more quick side to side action with light touches. I also have a buddy that fishes Phantoms a lot and I've seen them in the water and they look nice and work easy. The h-hound and the phantom have somewhat similar actions, great side to side w/ roll. There are a lot of good baits to choose from. My vote: Phantom or Hellhound

Posts: 941 Location: Freedom, WI | Todd mentioned my stuff and you mentioned easy working. The X glide is short turning bait that can be worked with just the reel. I have a Floating Nitro ( looks the same as the regular Nitro but made with different wood) that is not on my website yet that takes light taps that may be another choice.

I like your website! very complete with details and video. I like the Nitro and xglide thats pretty close to what I am looking for. I need to unload some older lures before I make another purchase. thanks guys!!!!!!!!!! Edited by Valleye 7/21/2007 2:06 PM

Posts: 20218 Location: oswego, il | Roger's baits are amazing, all of them. I would get one of everything he's got, my buddy made fun of my 'da rat' he didn't after the second cast when he netted my fish.

LOL Very smart in including videos of his baits in a pool. That sold me...... Thanks Todd, You know we're heading to Webster for another outing. You gotta join us man! later Val
