Fished Lake Marie and Catherine for 10th time this summer and no luck. One small follow. Does anyone have success on these lakes or the fox chain. Also any suggestions on Muskie Lakes in SE WIS?

Theres plenty of great musky fisheries besides the Chain. I love the Chain especially Channel and Bluff.
E/W Loon are very good, but you need to put your thinking cap on.Silver Lake in Kenosha co.,Independence Grove,Sterling,Cross Lake,Peirce Lake,Pewaukee,Okauchee,OC,Shawno has many quality esox, very pressured but also can be rewarding.
Theres also quite a few private lakes that have trophy potential.

Right now, most of these lakes are seeing 80-84 degree water temps, I myself will take the usual summer break and wait for mid 70 temps again.

Good Luck.

Fished throughout Marie, Bluff and Channel Lake today. Throwing bucktails, spinners and pikie minnows, no luck water was warmer than a bathtub. Did hear news of 2 guys catching 40" muskies yesterday on Marie. I am guessing it was the cold front that moved through last night. I will keep trying and I plan to figure out the chain someday.

I cut my muskie teeth on the chain in 95 and we were lucky at the time there were a lot of fish. They weren't huge but 5-10 fish days were common. One day 4 spoonplugger boats caught over 40 muskies in a few hours. By tax day we would normally have 15 fish landed
However the fact is that's NOT the case today and anyone who says it is is full of you know what!! I laugh my a$$ off when I here "guides or promoters" talk about how great the chain is... Yea you are gonna here about a few fish here and there but you must accept the fact that it's gonna take a lot of work, on the plus side the sizes are better now and also for many it's close to home.
The fish are skinny at Pewaukee but #'s are better, Mad town isn't bad.

Just got off Silver Lake in Kenosha County, caught a real nice 30 inch northern on a spinner bait in about 12 feet of water. My buddy Brian had a big muskie follow a deep raider in about 35 feet of water. We were fishing the northern weed flat just off the boat landing.

Sorry for jumping in so late but I just signed up today. This is a pretty sweet site! About two weeks ago I was on the southern end of the chain. Boated a tiger a hair under 40" and lost another casting in the upper 30's. I have also been out there for a week straight and have seen nothing. There are a lot of fish on the chain and some good ones too. But you really have to stay on it. I know some guys that do very well out there. You just have to keep pounding the water. I am going to try to get out at least once this week. I will try to let you know how it go's.
