Location: Contrarian Island | 150 lb bb swivel, 180 lb fluoro, solid ring with bucher #7..the only time i don't is on my crank bait rod i go with the large Stay Loc as i feel it gives my triple d's and grannies a better side to side action and I can make them kick out better... Posts: 578 Location: Sheboygan Falls, WI | Weren't we just talking about this Brad? LOL Gone to flouro and split rings for most. Solid wire for jerks yet with a split ring. Bearing swivels on everything. Just as Brad does, I use a snap for my twitchers as well. Chuck

Posts: 1185 Location: Wishin I Was Fishin' | For me: High Quality Bearing Swivel with solid rings, some might even be 10+ years old. 86# Solid American Fishing Wire (toothproof) on light baits 140# Solid Americna Fishing Wire (toothproof) on heavy baits Haywire twists Heavy duty split rings only: buy them in 200 packs from Roger Watters (H2O Tackle). He bulk orders them from Worth the same company that makes the Buchers. I leave the rings on all the baits. It's funny when I've had a bait for a few years and it doesn't have a ring on it, which means it didn't get wet yet and just been going for a lot of boat rides.

Posts: 723 | 1. solid wire aprox. 12" long, 86lb-140. some have swivels for throwing stuff I crank straight in, some have no swivel for stuff I jerk that doesn't roll. usually those are just a split ring on the line end for extra swing, and a stay-loc snap on the business end. 2. 90lb seven-strand with bo-line knots with an extra little loop in them, tag end is shrink-wrapped down, again, a stay-loc snap and a medium\heavy good ball bearing swivel. these are my trolling leaders. usually about 2 ft in length on up to 3'. 3. 100lb climax fluro, same swivel, same snap, tied with 4 wraps of a uni-knot, usually only a foot long, used for gliders, plastics, and sometimes trolling. I fished with a guy who used to "knot" use leaders. He caught a lot of fish that way and didn't ever have a bite-off. Now he uses leaders for some odd reason... sorry joe, I didn't read the "casting" part till the end, Im not editing it.

Posts: 120 Location: Chicago, IL | I only use the Stealth Flouro leaders for all casting and trolling situations now... I have one question for the individuals who responded.... Bearing swivel, flourocarbon and cross lock snap Jomusky 31 Votes - [27.68%] Have you ever tried the Stealth leader with the Stringease Stay-Loc snap? It is the best on the market in my opinion. Posts: 1185 Location: Wishin I Was Fishin' | I got a couple of the Stealth Leaders at the MRG tourney and I have to say they are very well put together. I'm thinking about using them for trolling....less the Stay-lock.
