If we can agree that warm water is a stress for the fish and the magic temp is 80, I have this question.

Is it hard on the fish if the temps hit 80 and then cool off the next week to the mid- 70 range? The lake I fish warmed up fast and then a couple of weeks of rain and cooler temps brings the water temps from 80 to 76.

Game on or wait for fall?

if you have a surface temp of 76 - game on - Just play the fish as fast a possible and limit time out of the water.
