Over the past week the weather has haunted the CAVE. On Thursday after 2 days of nice steady weather, my client boated a 39" on a bulldawg and just before dark we had 2 blow ups on TopRaiders boating a 34". Also that day another local angler boated a 48 out of laydown timber. 2 Rattle trap fish were also taken over the weekend. Today David and clients boated 2 fish and moved 5 more. Water temps ranging from 45 to 48 can be found. WE NEED SOME WATER IN OUR POND.
Later in the week they are calling for some. I'm on the water for the next several days and will update you then.

Thx for the update Tony, next weeks weather looks like high sunny skies with highs in the 40's, hope we can finesse a few in the boat.

The hot sauce sounds great spongey.... but will it give the skis the "squirts"? I know I don't eat a big breakfast the next day when the "sauce" I drank the night before affects me in that way.....

Tony, give us a little feedback on the MUDDY water.

Our water can muddy up fast but with presoaked ground it clears quite fast. In fact yesterdays downpours had Beaver Creek in bad shape as well as other small creeks, today most areas were back to normal.
Remember that the rattle baits work best in muddy water as the bigger fish yesterday showed, both came from zero visability. 51--44
The Cave is not hot but things are about to break loose.
Today we had great action on 6 inch Jakes and Baby Shallow Raiders, we never boated any fish but lost a few on video and had lots of follows on a day when water temps dropped 6 degrees overnight, some areas dropped 8 degrees.
WE are going to catch fish this weekend!!!!!

I am off to my worst start ever but i'm not worried it's going to cut loose, we had 13 fish this week at the Mountain Muskie Lodge under super tough conditions, I had NONE. Worst spring week for me EVER, yet Scott had his best day ever. But Thats muskie fishing!!!

Weather-Weather-Weather
A daily water temp change up and down of 5-8 degrees had... you guessed it TOUGH FISHING in fact our slowest start ever...I went 3 days without seeing a fish ( with clients ) I'm good!!!.
Wind-Rain-Hale-MUD
Today the water got thick in some spots but others were very clear....Seen 3 and caught 2 all in colored water NOT THICK MUD. Had a 9 year old today that lost a 42 - 43 incher yesterday with Scott, on video (great story for this weekend, today he broke my dry spell with a 34" on a Rattlin' Shad.
Our other guide boats seen fish but it was tough.
Water has risen about 18 inches and should come up a foot or 2 more as we get more rain, that should work to our benifit. River fishing is out for at least the next 3 or 4 days I would think as it is MUDDDDDY.
Also
The Cave has some floating logs from heavy rain, lets be careful this weekend and have fun and then catch muskies.
