this is an off the wall question. I've got an old wood bowl that is too grimy to eat out of. Can I put a layer of e-tex over it and then eat on the hardened e-tex? Hopefully it sets up well,

I don't think I would be trusting a bunch of bait makers with my health. I really don't think to many of them have ate or eaten off their baits. Musky don't talk so we can't ask them. Call the manufacter of etex to see if it's food safe. I would guess not, at least not with hot foods.

They coat tables and bars with Envirotex, and I have eaten things off of both of them.

I don't know if the bowl would be safe to eat out of, but I'm pretty sure that hook placement should be approached carefully.

If its food grade epoxy why not? Just make sure it is food grade material. They do make food grade epoxy. I know all of what I have bought for lues in the past is NOT food grade BTW.
