Any body know the availability of the ultra low sulfur diesel in Canada. Fords new diesel engine requires ultra low sulfur diesel and I just want to make sure that it is readily available across Canada. Thanks for any input!!!!

Not true. The new diesels require ULTRA low sulfur to prevent premature clogging of the after treatment devices in the exhaust. Replacement costs are $1000 and up. The engine will run fine on any other fuel but your pocket will take an early hit on a major expense.

Yup, definitely don't want to put anything but ULSD in that thing. Going to have to worry about that engine enough as it is.

Ghoti and CJW are right,
The newest PSD Diesels Feature a self scrubbing particulate collector and would be fouled by incorrect fuel.

I do not know what Canada has in mind for ULSD fuel. I however have an older PSD and am concerned about ULSD in my 525 motor. I'm sure an additive will be available sooner or later. I hope so I purchased this truck to last a long time and it's paid off so I intend to drive a few years for free.

You might try going to http://www.thedieselstop.com/ or http://www.powerstrokeforum.com/ to find out. Glad my truck is an old 96 and will run on most anything.
