i know this site is about muskies but, i want to go and catch a bunch of small pike(around 20" or so) where should i be fishing for them? what are some thing i should have for fishing for them?(lures, components, ect.) thanks

From what I read on past threads, hit musky bay on Lac Courte Oreilles. Tons of small pike in there. I also believe the dnr is encouraging fisherman to keep them as well. Any spinnerbait or smaller bucktail would probably work. Kdawg

i meant where like weeds, rocks, drop offs, sand bars, timber. where?

I seem to have my best luck with small pike in the weeds using bucktails. Mepps #5 with or without hair should do the ticket. If the weeds are thick try a johnson's silver minnow.

Location: searchin for the first legal.
you'll usaully catch the smaller pike like you want in weeds or around docks etc. i usually just use a bass spinner bait or i would try some sort of jerk bait rapalas, shallow raiders etc
