Posts: 1237 Location: South Portsmouth, KY | I had a problem with these a couple weeks ago and i posted help on here and i temporally fixed it. Now they have gone out again. Does anyone know what the correct part name is for these white connectors? This is on the trolling motor hookup. I might need to order a couple new ones to see if it fixes the problem. Thanks! Posts: 75 | They look like inline fuse holders. My old boat had connections like that looked like them and I finally got tired of messing with them. If they are used to hold the fuse, I would look to remove them and go to a different set up. Check out the requirements of the trolling motor and you should get some ideals on what is required.

Posts: 434 Location: searchin for 50 | They also have auto reset circuit breakers. I found them in cabelas #sw01-1823 then specify 40 or 50 amp. If your using too much juice it over heats and the circuit opens and you go no where. wait a few minutes and your back in business. Don't have to replace any fuses. Posts: 1237 Location: South Portsmouth, KY | Thanks for the replys guys though i dont think mine are fuses. i popped the cap off of one of them and on each end the wire wraps around a lead or metal cone shaped piece. I guess this is just for a gap to connect both seperate wires.

Posts: 90 Location: ne53 | I think the correct part name is an uninsulated butt wire connector. You could try to use a higher quality solid metal one and solder it and then shrink wrap it. It looks like the old splice must not have had a solid connection.

Posts: 793 Location: Ames, Iowa | If those are butt connectors, they are probably size 8. I am finding it hard to find them. I have looked all over town here and someone at RadioShack said to go out to the local car stereo place, as they use some pretty good sized wire nowadays for speakers. don
