To anyone that greases their own Daiwas, is there anything tricky about taking off the handle and greasing the "guts" off the reel ? I oil the line guide, level wind, whatever its called, and take off the side plate, but never the handle side of the reel. Any advice would be appreciated.

LMAO bullfrog -- unlike you would expect, and like it looks, the handle side does NOT unscrew like the other side does. There are two recessed screws that you need to take out, you can only get them out if you have the other side of the reel apart. You need a very small flathead screwdriver to get to them. Once you've done that it's pretty much just like any other reel -- same basic parts, except the anti reverse bearing.
