I live in Iowa and can't decide where to go for the weekend in MN. Mille Lacs is about all the farther I can justify driving to for one full day of fishing. Any thoughts of where else I should go? How about Forest or Alexander?

In the past, Forest has always turned on earlier in the year than Mille Lacs and some others. I would maybe give that one a try, but the monsters in Mille lacs always will lure people there to find them, regardless of the time of year

Bald Eagle has been pretty good early in the year as well. The St. Croix River is also a good bet.
