Do any of you guys with 200 or 225 Optis have Digital Throttle and shift? Does anyone know the cost difference with DTS?

Bob,

The DTS throttle system is not available on the Optimax. It's only available on the Verado engines.

As for the price of this system, I had it quoted when we were looking into the Verado a while back and if I remember right, the cost was a couple grand more for this system.

It's available on the 200 and 225 Optis according to the Merc website. That would put it at about the price of an E-Tec of the same HP

You got me on that one. Ya, I didn't think you could get that in the DTS, but that must be new. I had an 06' catalog sitting around so I double checked it and said nothing about the DTS on the Opti's. So that must be new, that's cool! Not sure it's that cool for a couple more grand if it costs the same on this motor as it does for the Verado but it's a pretty nice system, I will say that!

DTS looks like a sweet system...I guess 2 grand might be better spent on electronics though.

I totally agree on how sweet the system is, there is no doubt about that. It's so incredible smooth, but like you said, the money for the system can definitely buy some nice electronics for sure!
