Posts: 193 Location: Mayer, MN | Do any of you gentlemen participate in this event? I have a few questions regarding the rules: 2007 Metro Tournament Rules 1. Artificial lures ONLY - no live or dead bait. 2. No fishing prior to 6:00 a.m. on June 9, 2007. 3. All participants must wear life jackets whenever gas motor is running. 4. All persons in the boat must be tournament participants. 5. Only one line per angler. 6. Any unsportsmanlike conduct will be grounds for disqualification. Judges decision final. 7. Only live released muskies may be entered. Witnesses required for muskies 40" or over. 8. All caught muskies of any length will be entered for Grand Prize Drawing. 9. All 40" muskies must be taken immediately to nearest witness not in your boat for measurement and release. Witness does not have to be participating in Metro Muskie Tournament. 10. Fishing boundaries on Lake St. Croix are waters downstream of the Hwy 64 bridge in Stillwater to the Hwy 10 bridge in Prescott. 11. Digital or 35mm photo required of all fish entered in tournament and Grand Prize drawing. (Photos will be developed at awards ceremony). 12. All witness forms must be turned in at Gander Mountain in Maple Grove by 4:00 pm. 13. Awards based on total points. Rule #9: Are there enough particiants on the lakes that I can just wave someone over to verify a caught muskie. It reads as though I may have to transport the fish to an individual, any individual willing to act as a witness. I don't have an adequate livewell is the only reason for asking. Obviously there are no judge boats. Rule #12: Are witness forms mailed to you after sending in your registration form? Is it correct in saying that an individual could walk up at 3:59 p.m. to turn over a digital images and witness forms. How long afterwords are results posted, within the hour, within the week? Any other words of advice or wisdom? Thanks

Finding someone to witness should not be a problem. The tournament typcially has 600-700 people. You will get the witness form in the mail. Scott

Guys bug Paul to start a seperate "tiger" division been bugging him for a couple years now. Lots O luck,,,nake sure to attend the awards ceremony after the tourney even if you dont catch something,,its fun and everyone pretty much wins a lure, tackle, etc for a door prize Edited by happy hooker 5/18/2007 9:31 AM
